Christmas letter from Fr. Idler
Dec 21, 2017
My Dear All Saints Parish Family,
The past six months have just flown by since I became your new shepherd and pastor. We now find ourselves in the middle of Advent, the season of preparation for the coming of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. Now I ask you to take a quiet break from the “hustle and bustle” of life and focus on your own heart, mind and soul. It is time for a fresh new start! Plan to spend a little more time in prayer each day, say the rosary, maybe even try to attend a daily Mass during the week some time and listen closely to The Word of God. Make a good confession and prepare yourself to receive Our Lord into your heart at Christmas. What a difference His True Peace and Real Joy will make in your life.
Enclosed is our Confession/Christmas Mass Schedule. I draw your attention to the Fourth Sunday of Advent, December 24th. You must attend one Mass for the Fourth Sunday of Advent and again, one Mass for Christmas Day. They are two separate Liturgies and two separate obligations. I also remind you that at the Masses on the weekend of December 16/17, we will be blessing all “Infant Jesus” statues from your nativity sets.
On behalf of Deacon Polo, Deacon Russell and Deacon Sam, I wish you a very Happy and Holy Christmas and very Blessed New Year. We thank you for your wonderful outpouring of love, prayers, and support. Please know that you will be remembered at all the Liturgies celebrated at our parish on Christmas Day. May God bless each of you.
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
†Rev. Peter Idler
